Very quietly and peacefully on April 17th, 2022, our almighty God in his infinite wisdom and mercy gently closed the eyes of our beloved John Paul Jones (affectionately know as “Paul”) at the Capital Health Center, Hopewell, NJ.
Paul attended Trenton Public School System and graduated in the Class of 1974. He then became a crafted brick layer, he was proficient in his crafting skills. He was a member of Brick Layers & Trowel Trades Interantional (Union Local BAC #5) for 42 years. Paul was definitely a people-person, he bartended at serval local businesses for a number of years. Paul always had conversations to make you laugh, even in life’s darkest moments. He enjoyed music such as Lou Rawls, Luther Vandross, and Rance Allen. To know Paul was to love him, he was truly a unique individual who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Paul gave many continuous years of service to God through various outreach projects at Samaritan Baptist Church in Trenton, NJ. Paul was a member of the B.A.I.C. Fishers of Men and a dedicated Truetee. He spent time assisting, preparing meals, and delivering them to various locations in Trenton. Rain or shine you can find Paul assisting at the Trenton Food Bank. Paul had a heart for children and always attempted to converse, listen, and guide the youth.
