Ernest Rolling "Ernie" Obituary

Ernest Rolling, 68 of Trenton, New Jersey went to be with the lord on Sunday May 26, 2019. He was
born to the late Ernest and Mary Agnes Rolling on June 24, 1950. Ernest who preferred to be
called Ernie attended Trenton public schools and later was employed at Red lobster in Lawrence
NJ for over 10 years where he retired as a line cook. He later worked at San Naples senior center
for 3 years as a janitor and became a member for over 10 years. He also became a member of Mt.
Arat Baptist church where he was baptized on June 24. 2017 on the very day he was born into
this world.
Ernie will be greatly missed by family, friends and co-workers. What he will be missed for the
most is his funny sense of humor. He would make you laugh without trying to be funny (It’s his
personality). He always had crazy nicknames that he would give his family members or someone
he cared about. He was a joy to be around. During his younger days he would walk around
singing songs and always engaged in conversation with the younger generation around the with the
neighborhood. That is where he got his street name (Real Deal). He would say to the kids I’m the
real deal and the kids gave him that as a nickname.
Ernie is predeceased in death by both parents Ernest and Mary Agnes Rolling 3 brothers Larry,
Richard and Alfred (Shane) Rolling, 2 sisters Ruthenia (Tina) Hastings, Jennifer Brown and
special friend Karteca Donaldson.
He is survived by his loving wife and longtime friend Mrs. Joyce Rolling, 1 Brother Anthony
Rolling, 1 Sister Theresa Williams, 2 step daughters Sylvia (Freddrick) Stout. and Abayoneisha
Bryant, 2 step sons Jermal Leven and Clinton Hodges Jr. 1 granddaughter A’zyni Mcneil, 7
Nieces Althea Rolling, Telaya (Conrad) Murray Talesha Washington, Darlene Williams, Trenia,
Latesha and LaQuia Smith, 5 Nephews James (Marquita) Rolling, Robert (Mary) Brown,
