Edna (Yvette, Peaches) Harley entered into a peaceful rest with the Lord on July 14, 2020. She ended her earthly journey with her oldest son Barry by her side at her home. Yvette was born in Trenton, NJ on December 11, 1945 to Cora White and Henry Harley. She was the second oldest of four children.
She received her formal education in the Trenton school system and her fondest memories were attending Grant School. Yvette was especially fond of cooking and she enjoyed listening to all kinds of music with her favorites being Smokey Robinson and Marvin Gaye. Yvette was proud of taking correspondence courses in Interior Design to become an Interior Decorator. She also worked later at Days Inn in Bordentown, NJ.
Yvette was predeceased by her parents Cora L. White and Henry Harley, her brother John T. McClain, her friend William H. Geer, son Jonathan Troy McClain and grandson Leon S. McClendon (Booda).
Yvette leaves behind to cherish and smile two sisters, Ethel M. (Aubrey) Bryant and Roberta Hodges (Birdie), four sons and a daughter, Barry T. (Alberta) McClain, Leon R. Howlett, Jr. (Serge), Anthony D. Howlett (Aki), her one and only daughter, Meline C. McClain (Princess) and Michael A. (Tanett) Geer, 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 nephews, 4 nieces, her special Aunt Nettie White, 1 sister-in-law, Alice, special cousin Dorothy Horton-Brown and best friend Patricia McQueen (Pat) and a host of family and friends.
