Barbara Jean (Womack) Scott

Barbara Jean Scott-Womack was born November 30, 1936, in Middletown, Ohio. She attended nursing school and worked in healthcare before migrating to Trenton, New Jersey, where she spent most of her adult life. Barbara worked for the State of NJ, Department of Labor, in the Alien Certification Unit before retiring. She spent her retirement days attending mass, working for the election polls, babysitting her grandchildren, calling loved ones to check on them and offering help and encouragement endlessly. She loved sharing meals with family and friends, planning trips to the Poconos or aquarium with her grandchildren, traveling whenever possible and shopping. Barbara was a strong and resilient woman who endured and overcame so much adversity in her lifetime, while maintaining a giving and lively spirit. 
Sadly, on November 15, 2021, she passed away. She is survived by her sister, Marion, children, Shawnee, Cheryl and Gary, grandchildren, Milan, Timothy, Mylah and Michael, a great-grandson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A memorial service will be held for Barbara on Saturday, November 27th, at 12 PM, at the Ledford Funeral Home, Inc. in Trenton, NJ.
