Brenda Denise Leverett

Brenda better known as “ Micey “ daughter of the late Vivian Leverett-Harris and Roy Lee Hayes was
born on September 12, 1963, in Trenton NJ. She was educated by the Trenton Public School System, She
graduated from King James Nursing Center as a Home Health (Care Taker) and worked for Visiting Nurse
Association for over 25 yrs, she also worked at Capital Health as a Dietary Aide. She was also a former
member of Change Church, Ewing.
Micey, was known for her bright smile that would light up a room, her love and affection for everyone.
She loved to cook and have fun, she would feed the whole neighborhood and would give her last to
anyone, and everyone loved her Mac and Cheese. East Trenton grew her and she loved to party at the
Caravan and chill in Hetzels Park, and the love that the East Trenton family gave. She loved to dress and
put on her favorite Gold lipstick, in the words of Maiysha, Micey was always Sharp! She had such a big
impact on many people and their lives and she would open her doors to anyone! She was the BIG
MOMMA of jersey street.
In her life she legendary, to hear the stories and know her impact, is to know how eminent she truly
was…… She was a Mother, A friend, A sister, A Aunt, A Grandmother and a servant of God…. Fiercely
loyal, a protector, a pillar in the community…. A great example and role model. ( Even amongst all the
wonderful things she was you can never forget her sassiness! She had exuding dignity, honor and Valor;
what she represented cannot be diminished, Brenda was Extradonairy! Her character and smile was
larger than life. And to her loved ones her life, spirit and presence was everything.

Brenda was predeceased by her Mother Vivian Leverett- Harris, her Father Roy Lee Hayes, Her
grandmother Earlene Leverett- Welch her grandfather Louis Leverett, Her Brothers Donald Leverett and
Antwan Moody, and Her step father Roland Harris.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her only two Children Khadijah Leverett-Estrada, and Kyreese
Leverett two grandchildren kiyjahanay Meyers and Zavion Estrada and a very special Friend Brian
Robinson. She will be missed by her sisters Darlene Leverett ( Bobby) Monique Rogers, Motiece , and
Michelle Moody, her sister in law, Linda Leverett, Debora Robinson, and Lorraine Robinson, her Brother
Jawara Hayes, and her Brother in Law Johnnie Taylor ( Tracey). She also leaves to mourn, a special great
niece and nephew whom she called her grandchildren khanilah daves, and Isaiah Romero. Her two
adopted grandchildren Taylon and Tyson Collins, a special nephew Deandre Graffie, a very special aunt
& uncle; Hattie Leverett and Bobby (Mary) Leverett, a special son in law Tae Cooper a few special friends
and family Anthony Butler, Felicia Fletcher, Theresa Hill, Robert Hill, Jimmy Hairston. Additionally, Micey
leaves to cherish her memories some devoted nieces and nephews; Tierra Hill, Linda ( Monique )
Romero, Andre Romero, Donald and Brannon Bangs, Mayisha, Makia and Isiah Robinson and Marquan
and Michaux Taylor. Micey also loved and adored Brian and Brooklyn Fuller, Brian Keck and Roberto

Persichilli whom she would do anything for along with her special friend Antionette Perkins. She is also
survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
