James "Jimmie Rob" Robinson of Trenton, was born July 8, 1953 in Trenton, New Jersey. He departed this life on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Saint Francis Medical Center.
Jimmie was educated in the Trenton Public Schools and Mercer County Community College. He was known as "Spider" on the basketball court at the Junior #1 Middle School for his great skill and talent as a player.
James "Jimmie Rob" Robinson is predeceased by his parents, Emory Allen and Annie B. Robinson; grandmother, Mary Johns Molder Domnie; brother, Ronald Robinson, and a nephew, Deon Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sister, Pastor Mildred Granville (Pastor Willie J.) of Florence, NJ; a sister-in-law, Paulette Robinson of Atlanta, Georgia; four nephews, Michael Smith his caregiver of Trenton, Pastor Mark Granville of Florence, NJ, Kenny Granville of Trenton, and Blaine Robinson of Atlanta, Georgia; two nieces, Kim Granville and January Robinson of Trenton; a special cousin and caregiver, Calbert "Sonny" Molder and his wife Evelyn Molder; a several great nieces, nephews, and cousins; a special friend, Eddie McEwen and a host of North Trenton friends.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 11:00am at Galilee Baptist Church, 440 Martin Luther King Blvd., Trenton. Visitation will be from 9:00am-11:00am at the church. Interment will be in Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton. Arrangements entrusted to Ledford Funeral Home, 929 S. Clinton Avenue, Trenton.
