Thompson III, James A. (Peanut). 40, of Trenton. Born February 25, 1970 in Trenton
and departed this life on November 18, 2010 after a brief illness at St. Francis Medical
Center surrounded by his loving family. Peanut attended Trenton Public Schools and
worked as a mechanic.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Missionary Meredith Harrison, his
fraternal grandparents Minister James A & Mrs. Clyde Thompson and an Aunt Alice
Jackson.
His memory will continue to live in those who knew and loved him. Peanut is survived
by his parents Maggie Harrison-Combs and Elder James A. Thompson II, his grandfather
Bishop Walter T. Harrison, 1 sister Lynn Frazier of Ohio, and 3 brothers Kaneem
Thompson of Florida, Walter M. Harrison and Stanley Johnson Jr. of Trenton. 5 aunts
Barbara (Melvin) Burchett, Pattie Byrd, Ernestine Johnson, Elizabeth (Clarence)
Wormley and Glenda Harrison, 1 uncle Clarence (Cynthia) Thompson, 1 great uncle
and 2 great aunts. Peanut is also survived by a special friend Steve Aikens and his
godmother Yvonne Aikens. James is also survived by a host of cousins, nephews,
nieces, godchildren and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Saturday at
Victory Tabernacle COGIC, Int’l 285-87 Hamilton Avenue, Trenton. Interment Colonial
Memorial Park, Hamilton. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9
– 11AM. Services entrusted to Ledford Funeral Home 929 South Clinton Avenue,
Trenton.
