Charles Mitchell

On February 27, 2009, an Angel of Mercy descended upon the St. Francis Compassionate Care Hospice and summoned Charles Wheeler, III to a home of eternal rest.

Charles was born in Trenton, NJ on May 15, 1941 to the late Charles Wheeler, Jr. and the late Louise Mitchell. He was educated in the Trenton Public School System and graduated from Trenton Central High in 1958.

Charles was a good man and he had a heart of gold. His favorite pastime was watching classic movies. Charles also enjoyed spending quality time with the late Shirley Ann Johnson White, his soul-mate of 22 years.

Charles Mitchell was predeceased by his parents Charles and Louise, his grandparents: Jessie Mitchell, Charles Wheeler and Nellie Wheeler-Hall, as well as his dear companion, Shirley.

Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memories are his loving daughter, Shalik Fatima Johnson Jenkins; and his devoted sister, Patricia Williams. Charles will also be sorely missed by a host of dear aunts, uncles nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday 12:30PM at Ledford Funeral Home. Visition will be held on Saturday from 10:30AM until 12:30PM.
