April “Rosemary” Coons 15, passed away on October 31, 2008 at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
Born in Freehold, NJ, April attended Hamilton Schools since the first grade. She was a sophomore at Nottingham High School. April was a cheerleader for Pop Warner Football and the Freshman Girls Basketball Team Manager for the Nottingham Northstars. April was a strong supporter of Nottingham activities. During the summer of 2008 she worked for Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey.
She is survived by her loving parents Robert W. and Louise A. Coons, her two brothers Marcus R. and Tyrone A. Leverett, and a niece Meana Destiny Leverett, daughter of her brother Marcus. April is survived by her grandparents Robert and Mary D. Leverett, and her great grandmother Rosa Lee Coons. April was preceded in death by her grandmother, the late Wadie Lee Coons, and her great-grandfather the late Jacob F. Coons Sr. April is also survived by two uncles Jacob F. (Rhonda) Coons and Esaw W. (Sonya) Coons, the late Michael A. Coons, four aunts – Lynda A Coons, Patricia A. (James) Wallace, Robin E. (Clinton) West, and Mary I. (Thomas) Powell, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. April is also survived by a close friend Vicky Nelson.
Funeral Service was held on Monday, 11AM at Elect Saints Lutheran Church (formerly Bethel Lutheran Church) 162 Johnston Avenue, Hamilton with Pastor Agnes and Pastor Richard Wilson Sr. of Bethel United Holy Church of Trenton officiating. Interment Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton. |
