Interment Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ Visitation – Saturday – February 24, 2007, 9 – 11AM at the Church. The Obituary On Saturday, February 17, 2007 Joann Wilson Poole was called to rest in Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey, following a lengthy illness. Joann was born on September 4, 1947 to Robert J. Wilson, Jr. and the late Mildred O. Wilson. Born and raised in Trenton, Joann was educated in the Trenton Public School System, and graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1965. Joann worked for the Trenton Board of Education for several years until 1982 when she was employed by the Mercer County Board of Social Services. Due to failing health, she was retired in 2000. Joann was married to the late William H. Poole, Sr.. To this union were born 3 devoted children. Joann, affectionately known as “Mooca” was all about her family. She loved nothing more than being in the presence of her loving grandchildren. In her leisure time, “Mooca” could be found playing Bingo, or hanging out in Atlantic City with family and friends. Joann was a fun-loving woman, quick to smile and show off her deep dimples. Joann was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Poole, Sr.; her mother, Mildred O. Wilson; and her son, Brian Keith Poole. Left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory are: Father, Robert J. Wilson, Jr. Daughters, Stacey L. (Glenn, Sr.) McArthur and Mildred O. (James, Jr.) Poole-Bailey Son: William H. (Brenda) Poole, Jr. Brothers: Robert J. (Minnie) Wilson, III, William H. Wilson and Michael Wilson, Sr. Grandchildren: Michelle McArthur, Glenn McArthur, Jr., Michael Poole, Tamara Poole, Ashley Poole, Bruce Poole and William H. Poole, III Step-Grandchildren: Tierra Heading, Ra’Shawn Bailey and Jameel Bailey Step-Great Granddaughter: Makayla Williams Sister-in-law: Barbara Ellis Brother-in-law: Moses Poole, Jr. 8 Aunts: Priscilla Thompson-Petitt, Juanita Rambough, Marie Wilson, Gretel Mason, Lorraine Lattimer, Jesse Wilson, Lucille Carrier and Eloise Thomas. Uncle: Ernest Wilson, Sr. 2 Special Cousins: Marion L. Wilson and Kim L. Mason Best Friend: Claudia Johnson God-daughter: Dawn Johnson Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. |
