She was valedictorian of the 1981 graduating class of Trenton High School and a 2004 Honors graduate of Harris Career Institute – Ewing.

Loving Wife of Kwasi Boateng. Adored mother of Estdevon Perkins. Step-Mother of Morris, Serwaa, and Adwaa Boateng. Daughter of Minnie Edwards and the late Samuel L. Perkins. Grandmother of Tyrese Perkins. Chantel Kaiser, Aiden Roper and Cheynne Kaiser. Adored Sister of Darlene York(Daniel) and Emma Green , Leroy Edwards Jr. and Robert Edwards.

Godmother of Tasheia Roper. Special Friend of Ronald McClendon and the McClendon Family.
Cherished aunt of April, Janice, and Issah York, Lamont Williams, and Sheila Edwards.

Great aunt of LaTasha, Christopher and Kenya Edwards. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service was held on Saturday, July 28th 11AM at Trenton Church of Christ 42 Belvidere St. Trenton. Visitation was held at the church on Saturday, July 28th from 9 to 11AM.
