Helen Smallwood King, daughter of the late Helen Poney Madden and Clifton Wright, was born on December 17, 1923 in Easton, Maryland.
Helen relocated to Princeton, NJ in 1930 and lived with her grandmother, the late Nina Smallwood. She was a graduate of Trenton Central High School.
Helen was a member of the Mt. Pisgah A.M.E. Church where she served as Secretary of the Missionary Society until she was no longer able.
Predeceased in death by her brothers George Holmes and Larry Madden, and Aunt Mary M. Holmes, she leaves to cherish these memories three brothers: Roger, Charles and John Madden; two sisters: Carolyn Liverman (Albert) and Charline Madden Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 11 AM at Mt. Pisgah A.M.E. Church, 170 Witherspoon Street, Princeton. The interment was held at Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton. |
